The hotfix is the only solution to error 1100009. Are you sure you have
installed it correctly?

I believe so, I downloaded the Zip file and saved the only following file

office-kb972566-fullfile-x86-glb

I then double clicked on the file accepted the file License Terms

It did not work the f1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th time so I posted a request for help.

I tried your suggestion and I receive the notice indicating that the - " The
up date is already installed on your system"

Q. How many files should have been zipped to my download file where I saved
the document(s)?

I only received one. Double clicked on the file named
office-kb972566-fullfile-x86-glb Ran the updated and then tried opening one
the files only to receive the same error.

Now all my publisher files are becoming corrupt.

This is extremely fustrating as this never happed until the Service Pack 2
was loaded onto my computer.

I need any help with step by step instructions.

I have unistalled the hotfix, as well as service pack 2 and I still have
problems. The problem occurs even after I create new files. I am forced at
this point to save files as Publisher 2000 version.

PLEASE HELP this is crazy

I cannot open the file created in the same PC after printing. It used to be most files but then applying the hotfix helped to open some but not all. I have the sp2 and Symantec endpoint protection (which had an update recently to 11.0.3001.2224). Last file I created using an older file and it was all ok (meaning I could save, exit and then able to re-open) until the file is printed to pdf printer. After that I cannot open the file. I know (as many people commented in the internet) it will likely to open in another PC.
