Error accessing the file

I am getting the message (1) "Error accessing the file;
network connection may have been lost" using Access
upgrade in XP operating system.

The problem is associated with making copies of existing
forms under new names. I can make the copies and do
modifications but when I close and open the database, I
get the messages above. If I create a new database and
try to import objects from the old DB; I get message (1)
then "Name conflicts with existing module, project or
object library"
