ERROR - Force Check-in enterprise objects

TNO

I´m getting the following error when I try to open the Force Check-in
enterprise objects form:

System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: ProjectServerError(s)
LastError=GeneralUnhandledException Instructions: Pass this into
PSClientError constructor to access all error information
at
Microsoft.Office.Project.Server.WebService.PWA.AdminReadCheckedOutEnterpriseProjects()

The queue is empty and everything else seems to be working fine.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Turns out that the eGlobal template was stuck in checked out "state"
Checking in the template (deleting the checked out field in the database
table) solved the problem.....

Hi,

I am facing similar problem (MSPS2007, SP1 installed).

Could you please detail how to see who has locked the Enterprise Global object (which database and filed namse) and then if needed delete the checked out field in the database?

thanks in advance for your help

It sounds like you have a custom enterprise Field that is "stuck" in a
checked out state. If that is the case, do the following:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions.
2. Click Server Settings - Force Check In Enterprise Objects.
3. Click the pick list at the top of the page and select Enterprise Fields.
4. In the data grid, select the option checkbox for the Field in question.
5. Click the Check In button.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Dale for your fast reply

Actually my problem is present since a long time and I would kindly ask you
to have a look to my previous post "Subject: How to force check in of
"Enterprise Global" object?" where I describe that I face an error when
clicking on Server Settings - Force Check In Enterprise Objects...

It seems to me that now my only chance now is to directly repair within
database...
Thanks again for your advices
