I loaded Publisher 2000 (on the second CD-ROM of
Office2000) onto my XP laptop with no problem.
But when I repeatedly try to load Publisher onto my new XP
desktop from the same set of CD-ROMs, it reports an error
reading a DLL on the CD-ROM. This DLL is called
MDT2DBUI.DLL.
The error it gave me is viewable at :
http://www.improventures.com/publisher/errormessage.htm
It gives the location where this file should have been
found and accessed on the CD-ROM.
I used Windows Explorer to look at the CD-ROM and I can
see that the file is right where the error message says
it's supposed to be. (webpage above also shows this)
At someone's suggestion, I looked to see if the file
already exists somewhere on my hard drive. It does not
and was not added even when I upgraded to SR-3 today.
MSWord, Excel, Access, etc all loaded just fine on both
computers. It's only Publisher that's acting up. Thanks!
