error message: file not available

Suddenly, I cannot open files in Word 2003 any more. Keep
getting error message: "The file [filename] is not
available". However, I can open files in WordPad and in
Word Version 2000. Can anybody help?

Usually this problem is caused by the Office Plug-in in Norton AntiVirus,
which can be disabled without compromising your virus protection provided
you leave Auto-Protect enabled.
