A "Microsoft Visual Basic" error message appears at the
start of WORD2002 - "Method "ADD" of
object 'CommandBarControls' failed" How can it be
corrected?

Probably, you have an ADDIN that's trying to execute and
can't for some reason. You'd have to contact the person who
provided that to get it corrected.

Or, remove the Addin so that it doesn't try to execute when
you load Word. It's probably located in Word's STARTUP
folder.

Thanks for your help Cindy. I found an ADDIN in the
startup menu for WORD that wasn't familiar to me. The
author was someone named Lana Tran. I deleted it and the
WORD error message stopped. It's in the recycle bin UFN.
