Error Message: "PowerPoint Can't Read... " KB820703

I am getting this message when trying to open another
version of PP. Went to the Knowledge base and found this

US;820703 but following the steps does not work. The
Powerpoint opens in Office Xp but will not work in Office
2003. I am about to rollout Office 2003 but this
limitation will cause problems and I need to get this
resovled quickly, any help would be appreciated.

Have you applied the available fix for PowerPoint 2003? Open PowerPoint and
go to Help > Check for Updates. Follow the links to Check for Updates. I
think that might fix your problem.
