This is an HP problem: you need to call them for support. This is one of the
recent replies given to a user. I cannot vouch that it works.

It will cause no harm to your computer other than leave abandoned temp files
in your temp folder. So I suggest that you regularly empty your temp folder.

But you can avoid the problem by switching to a different printer before
closing Word. If you don't have another printer, just install the Windows
Generic Text driver through the Printer applet in the Control Panel.

I don't understand how the support staff for HP can possibly say with any
honesty that because all Word 2007 owners using that printer have the same
problem that it is a Word 2007 problem. No other Word 2007 users have the
problem except those using some HP printers, so how is it a Word problem?
Their logic astounds me. They are obviously good candidates to work for
Banks where they will be able to understand how you can make loads of money
using phantom money and shares that don't exist.
