Error on Open Project file

David

Hi!
While opening any project using Project Pro I get the
following error : There is a view named &Gantt Chart in
the project which cannot be overwritten. Press OK to
rename it or press CANCEL to cancel opening the project.

Also same problem with table &Entry in the project.
I have to rename it or else the project will not open.

Has anyone faced similiar problem? Any solutions?
Thanks in advance.

Regards,
David.

Your situation is being caused by your company's Enterprise Global file.
Whoever serves as your Project Server administrator has somehow applied the
Gantt Chart view while they had the Enterprise Global open for editing. The
Entry table is the default Table for the Gantt Chart view, so the Entry
table is also in the Enterprise Global. Both the Gantt Chart view and the
Entry table need to be removed from the Enterprise Global. Your Project
Server administrator needs to do the following to accomplish this:

1. Open the Enterprise Global
2. Display the Enterprise Gantt Chart view with the Enterprise Entry table
applied
3. Click Tools - Organizer
4. Select the Gantt Chart view from the list on the right side of the
dialog box, then click the Delete button (DO NOT delete the Enterprise Gantt
Chart view)
5. Select the Tables page
6. Select the Entry table from the list on the rigth side of the dialog
box, then click the Delete button (DO NOT delete the Enterprise Entry table)
7. Click the Close button
8. Save and close the Enterprise Global

The Enterprise Global is your company's "library" of corporate Views,
Tables, Filters, Groups, Fields, Reports, etc. The only features that
should appear in the Enterprise Global are true enterprise Views, Tables,
Fitlers, etc. The Gantt Chart and Entry table are local features, as
opposed to enterprise features, and should not be present in the Enterprise
Global. Hope this helps.
