Error Receiving Mail

In Outlook 97, when you try to click "Check for new mail",
I am receiving the following error message: "A message
could not be delivered. Make sure there is sufficient
memory and diskspace and that the message store is
accessible, then try again." If anyone can help me with
this I would greatly appreciate it.
