I use Outlook 2002 to access various email accounts. Since yesterday the
connection to Compuserve has been failing with error message "Task
'Compuserve sending' reported error (0x800CCC78): 'Unable to send the
message. Please verify the email address in your account properties. The
server responded: ??". Occasionally, the task is 'Compuserve sending and
receiving'.
Test messages I've sent to myself via another email address do eventually
appear so it must connect sometimes. I'm not though trying to send a message
via Compuserve - I use another email for all sending. So presumably Outlook
thinks there's a message somewhere and is trying to send it but it fails. I
can't find any such message though. Any suggestions please?
