Couple of things...
1) Check this reference out:

2) apply all the current office updates

2) save versions of your work often to minimize possible work loss from
software crashes

3) Send the error reports to MS. They will be able to help some of the
time.
For right now, close PowerPoint and hope auto-save caught most of your work
on re-opening PowerPoint.
