I'm having problem with the above subject application.
When working on a Word document, after 10 minutes of
typing a window shows on the scree saying:Microsoft Word
for Windows 97 application file has encountered a problem
and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
If you are in the middle of something the information you
were working on might be lost. Then I have the chance to
send a report to Microsoft or to not send a report. I've
sent a couple of reports. The message also occurrs when
I'm typing for less than 10 minutes and go to print the
document. In all cases all the work that has been done is
lost even though I have the "Auto Recovery" set under
the "Tools, Options, Save" activated. Needless to say
this is very frustrating. In the meantime I'm having to
use WordPad for all my typing work. Any ideas or
solution would be greatly appreciated - the sooner the
