I want to create a site using asp creating dynamic pages is that bad? It is a
small-med site
of course i have to use asp too since im using Access. Everyone freaks out
because i want to use ASP there all saying use PHP or .NET but I'm not doing
heavy coding.

Is it ok to move forward with Access and ASP?

There's nothing particularly wrong with ASP. Whether Access -- really,
Jet -- will do as the database behind your website depends on the traffic,
security, and uptime requirements. We have a number of ASP/Jet sites
running with no problems for years.

Access or rather Jet, which is the Access database engine, doesn't care what
you use. PHP, ASP, .NET. It doesn't matter. I have several ASP sites running
, and they've been working fine for several years now. If you are
comfortable using ASP, use it.

Generally when people "freak out" over something like this it ,means their
knowledge of the subject is non-existent and they're afraid that this fact
will come out!

Or that they are purposely trying to spread Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt
(FUD) for reasons of profit. The quality of a thing must stand on its own
merit. ASP has done that for years. There are newer technologies, but as
long as the one you want to use will accomplish you goals and you are
comfortable in using it, why not?

I agree completely, as long as you don't need external support. As
technologies age, fewer resource are available/willing to work on
them. Maybe not an issue in this case, but something to consider.

We have some great systems that we've built on ASP. We wouldn't build
a new one though, because programmers want to work on ASP.NET and
Ajax, the new hotness*.
