Excact row and column size

B

Bill Haskell

In Publisher 2002, using calendar templates, it is easy to resize with the mouse. However, this is a course change. There are instances when I need to change a row or column size to an exact amount. . The Format Table>Size seems like it would be the place to make an exact setting, but it is inoperative and I do not see any way of making an exact size in the Table drop down menu.

Is there a way to set an exact row height or column width property? It doesn't seem like there is a way to do it like in Excel?

You can still easily resize them with a mouse. What is the issue?

Use the rulers.

Thanks for the info. Using the measurement toolbar, I'm able to change =
the table height and width to an exact size, and that is a big help. =
However, I haven't been able to figure out how to set an exact size for
= columns or rows. I have highlighted them, but all that will change
is = the outside table dimensions, not the column or row. Any idea how I can =
select and change a specific row or column? Thanks,

Unfortunately, there are no precise measurement tools for specific rows/columns
like there are in Excel. There are plenty of workarounds, such as lining
the table up against the rulers and resizing --
