"preprint" would be Print Preview.

Check this out................

The fill color, the fill pattern, or the line color of a WordArt or
AutoShape object in an Office document does not change

As directed, change the High Contrast setting in Windows OS

Sorry- for the misclarification- I want to color a specific cell and/or line
in an address list- but it doesn't show- unless I go to Print Preview then I
can see the color..but I need it to show on my current working sheet..how do
I get that to show..

Upon reading the KB Article I came up with this.

Start>Settings>Control Panel>Accessibility Options>Display. Uncheck the option
at "Use High Contrast"
