Excel '97 and Auto Save

Why does the Auto Save functionality disappear everytime
the PC crashes? I have to manually reset it - also,does
excel have a problem saving Auto recover files to the Temp
folder? If it does have this functionality, may I please
be advised as to how to set it up

Can't answer first question about AutoSave losing its functionality upon PC
crash.

Second question......there is no AutoRecovery in XL97. Was first introduced
with XL2000.

Jan Karel Pieterse has built an AutoRecovery Add-in that is very handy.

Find it at Stephen Bullen's website. Look for AUTOSAFE.ZIP
