excel file linking

Is there a limit to the size of a source worksheet that
can be linked to another worksheet? Using Excel 2000 and
256 mb ram linking a 2mb source file using "edit-paste
special-link" gives me "out of memory" error msg when the
destination file is opened. How can this be corrected?

Hi

Add more memory to your comp.

Or, when you think this mustn't be the case (your comp isn't so weak), try
to link the source table to some empty workbook. When there it works, then
maybe your current workbook is corrupted - recreate it anew then.

There is adequate memory, must be a corruption in the
