Excel for MAC 2004 -DLL loading problem

When I go to load an Excel file, I get an "error in loading DLL" error
message. I have reinstalled excel to no avail. Unfortunately Microsoft
does not provide instructions for uninstalling software, and the MAC
unlike windows does not have a software remove capability. Does anyone
know how I can fully uninstall Excel so that I can reinstall and correct
the DLL problem? Also, I'm using Leopard.

Thanks for any assistance on this issue.

It is probably not necessary to reinstall Excel. This almost never helps
with Macintosh programs. What version of Excel? Search Google groups and you
will see a lot of discussion on this topic and some solutions - but none of
them to uninstall and reinstall. The problem most likely is that the author
of the DLL has not taken the current version of the operating system into
account, and you will need to contact the author to get a fix.
