Excel Links become Warped when inserted in Powerpoint

I am having trouble with Excel objects that I have inserted into Powerpoint
using the Paste Special -> Insert Link. When I hit "update link" Powerpoint
shrinks the object slightly and the fonts become warped. Does anyone know why
this is hapenning? This did not used to happen with the same files on another
computer of mine.
