I want to enter two enter two pieces of data in separate cells and have it
return a value from a table that is the intersection ofthe 2 axis.

I have a table that has numbers across the top row and letters in the first
column. I want to enter a number and a letter and get a value of wher the
two pieces of data intersect

You may want to investigate the Intersection Operator. It might suggest
that you want text names instead of just letters and numbers as the row
and column headers.
