excel prob - cant save worksheet if someone has it open in a veiwe

Client has a prob where they have some staff using 2003 excel viewer and if
they
have a workbook open in veiwer, then the accounts staff can't save their
changes in the same workbook in their Excel 2002 program without having to go
around to find and close the offending veiwer/s. Any way around this? is
this
a known MS prob? (Have made them shared workbooks but if a veiwer has the
sheet open it still seems to lock it out to saving any changes)

I cannot replicate your problem using the xlviewer for 2002 and 2003 and have
not heard it is a known MS problem or at least cannot recall seeing it posted.

Not much help, sorry.

May be a LAN thing.
