You can achieve the effect a couple of ways.
If you create a Custom View of an area (View=>Custom)
the view area can include a printer header for just
that area when you print it.
There is also a report manager Add-in for Excel
(download for Excel 2002 and 2003,
from
http://office.microsoft.com/downloads
included in Excel 97 & 2000) that, if I recall correctly
has a feature for doing that.

I have a user who would like to know if Excel has a feature similar to
Word that allows a different header and/or footer on the first page of a
printout. We have Office 2000 and Office 2003 available.
