excel sheet into word 2008 for mac

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) how can i export an excel sheet into a word document?

My preferred method:

Select & copy the Excel content,
In Word use Edit> Paste Special [take your pick there]

You can't "export" in a Word file format or directly into an existing Word
document.
