I am trying to get the column letter and row number to display in color for
each active cell. For example - if I click in cell D50, the D cell (column)
would turn orange and the 50 cell (row) would turn orange and all other row
and column cells would remain gray.

Excel does this by default. Blue in most cases, but you could change the
colors in Windows Display.

But, I think Frank has put you onto the right path, so follow that.

Went to this <http://www.cpearson.com/excel/RowLiner.htm> site and
downloaded the rowliner and installed. It's pretty usefull tool. However,
ever since loading this add-in Excel will not instance. During loading an
error comes up and asks to "Send Error Report" or not. I have unregistered
and re-registered; ran the fix installation errors from Exel 2000 Premium
cd, etc. But still get the same error...

Are there known problems like this? If so what is the fix? Where in the
Registry would I remove pointers to this add-in?

TIA
