expand nested folders when new mail arrives and contacts display

I switched to outlook 2002 (it shipped with a pocket pc I
recently bought) from outlook express. I have two
problems:

1. if I have a rule set up to move messages to a specific
folder upon arrival, and that folder is nested in another
folder, outlook does not expand the folders to expose the
one with the new message in it. OE did this. how do I set
this up in outlook?

2. I can't get my contacts list to show up under the
folders list, like I can do in OE. it's a "pane" that I
was able to place there, under the folders. I could then
click on a name and send them an email that way.
