I cannot insert a powerpoint doc (that is saved as a webpage w/multiple
frames) using "insert" file option. FP2000 says "You are using frames, your
browser does not support them. How can I get around this?

That really sounds easy...but I don't know how to do that? My tabs are
Normal, HTML, Preview. It is in Normal view when I try the steps: Insert,
File... but it displays that error.

You don't insert the file in a page
You File Import it (into your FP web) and then just create a link to the start page
