Export from Outlook 2003, import to Outlook 97

I want to export data, specifically my Contacts folder from my desktop PC (running Outlook 2003) and import it to my laptop (running Outlook 97). When I try to export and import a .pst file I get a Version Incompatibility Error.
Does anyone know of a fix for this? (other than putting Office 2003 on my laptop of course).

You will need to choose the Outlook 97-2002 format for the new .PST file
when you export. Outlook 97 cannot use the new Unicode format .PST created
by Outlook 2003.
