Export Project tasks to Outlook

Lizzie

I am a single user, and want to export my Project tasks to Outlook for use in
my calendar. Alternatively, can I combine calendars in different projects?
I am using Project Professional 03 and Outlook 03

You can't really export them but you can email them to yourself. Look up
"Workgroup Collaboration" in the Microsoft Knowledge base for a discussion
of how to go about it and to download the Outlook add-in WGSETUP.EXE that is
necessary to implement it.

I have installed the WGsetup and set the registry keys but i don't see any
additional toolbars or buttons in my outlook or project professional.

can any one send me a screen shot (if possible at eric.anacay"AT"yahoo.com)
of what happens and how to use the installed feature.

i'm not sure if i'm missing something in the installation or maybe i was
expecting something different. Will it send the project tasks to my outlook
tasks?

Thanks!

No, it won't. The workgroup simply sends an email message listing the
tasks for you to report progress and send back to Project. I'm not
aware of any direct way to get Project tasks to actually appear in
Outlook's Task List. You could try VBA...

When the recipient accepts the task assignment in the email, it should add
it to their Outlook task list. At least that's my understanding of what's
supposed to happen. It's been a few years since I've actually done it
myself.

Just a thought... this seems like a pretty common request. Is it on the list
for a future release?

Someday, it would be cool if all the MS apps melded into the Outlook
interface and you could just work from Outlook.
