Export to HTML or Excel

E

Ezequiel

Hi!!
Two question regarding the export option.

To Excel: When I export to Excel, the main task (I don´t know the word in
English, but I mean the tasks in bold) are in the same format as the
other...I mean, they are not bold. Can I set this anywhere in the export
options?

To HTML: Can I set the type of font or different options of design of the
HTML page?

Thanks in advance!!

Ezequiel,
Unfortunately there is no option in the export map to set the font
characteristics of exported data. You can either do it manually (or via
VBA) in Excel, or you might want to check out fellow MVP, Jack
Dahlgren's macro for exporting the hierarchy to Excel. Jack's website is
at:

Sorry I can't help you with the HTML question. Maybe someone else can.

Hope this helps.

For the HTML part, you would have to modify the HTML code after
exporting it. I don't think you can set font and other options
before-hand. If you know HTML, it's easy. If you don't, well, the
Visual QuickStart guide is pretty good! ;-)

Hi Ezequiel,
Concerning your second question about the HTML page:

In the Export Wizard - Map Options page, you can select other pre-defined
HTML templates for the export. With "Base export on HTML template" selected
(checked), click the "Browse" button to the right to browse to other HTML
templates. You may be able to find one that is closer to what you are
looking for. The HTML templates control font color, background color etc.

I suggest experimenting with the existing HTML templates (save the same file
using different templates) to see what they offer. Find one that is close
to what you want, then you can modify the HTML code as Sarah suggests once
the page has been created.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Julie
