Exporting data from Excel to Outlook Calender

Is there anyway of exporting data from an Excel spreadsheet, in this case, dates for deadlines of document completion, into the calender of Outlook, so an automatic alert would be generated in Outlook for the deadline

In Outlook, if you select File | Import and Export | Export to a file |
Comma Separated Values (Windows)... you can make a CSV file to use as a
template. This will give you a CSV file that can be modified in Excel with
the proper fields you can use. From there, it's just a matter of removing
the data you don't want, adding the data you do want into the appropriate
fields (columns), and then importing it into the Calendar through File |
Import and Export.
