Exporting/Importing Followup flag field

Why can't I import and export the followup flag field? It's a date field that
I like to use often. I've been trying to import and export the contact
information as a .csv

Before Russ Valentine asks, I'm using Outlook 2003.

Actually this is one of the few times the version does not matter. Whenever
you export Outlook data to a foreign file format, you will lose data and
fields that are unique to Outlook and not supported by the other file
format. The follow up flag is one of many such fields.
Do you really need to change file format? If not, it's better not to export
data at all. Just copy the Outlook data file.
