exporting info

I need to replace my PC and would like to save all the info in Outlook :
Emails, contacts (including catagories) and diary. I exported the contacts
but the catagories did not go with them. I exported the diary but on trying
to open it I just get a excell spreadsheet and I have no idea how to save /
export the emails.

Is there a way I can save absolutely everything in one operation and move it
over?

I do not use the import/export, I just transfer and
open the pst directly...
