Extracting PPT from Office CD

Is there any way to extract the powerpoint program from
my Office CD and save it onto another CD -- whereas the
new CD would ONLY contain PPT for installation? Thanks
in advance!

Sounds like that would be a rather blatant violation of copyright laws. I
would recommend you not pursue this course of action, especially on the
copyright holder's newsgroup.

Tell us why you want to do this. If you just want to install PowerPoint and
not the other applications, you can select a custom installation when you
run Setup.exe and within the custom dialog you can specify PowerPoint only.
You'll still only be able to install on one system and possibly a laptop as
specified in the End User License Agreement.

I won't be violating any copyright laws because Word is
the ONLY pgm installed on my computer, but I want to give
away PPT without parting with my entire Office CD.
Therefore, both programs won't be installed anywhere
simultaneously. That being said, this doesn't constitute
a violation. Can my previous question be done? Thanks
again in advance!

I think that if you read it thoroughly you'll find that it actually would be
a violation of the End User License Agreement (EULA). For example:

"General License Grant to Install and Use Software Product. You may install
and use one copy of the Software Product on a single computer, device,
workstation, terminal, or other digital electronic or analog device
("Device"). You may make a second copy of the Software Product and install
it on a portable Device for the exclusive use of the person who is the
primary user of the first copy of the Software Product. A license for the
Software Product may not be shared."
