Field at top of e-mail for Notes/comments

In the past when I've sent something I've created in Publisher as an e-mail,
sometimes there is a field for notes at the top under the to, cc, bcc and
subject line.

I'd like to write a note separate from the e-mail itself-so I don't want to
use a text box within the publication. I'm not sure how to search or
describe for the feature I'm talking about.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about and how to get that field?

Based on other responses I'm reading, I should add that I'm using Publisher
2003 and I do not want to send it as an attachment-I want to send as e-mail.
I've done it before. I just don't remember how I got the additional field at
the top of the e-mail.

Microsoft Word has this feature; to my knowledge it has never been in
Publisher.
