If this is the wrong newsgroup, please feel free to suggest the appropriate one for my issue.

I have a document with photos.

Each photo has a label with a caption of "Photo 1", then a tab, then "Date:", another tab, then "Description:"

So the typical caption under each photo would be something like:

Photo1 Date: 12/31/2003 Description: Living Room

I would like to build a table of contents or table of figures that would look like

Photo 1 Living Room...................................................1
Photo 2 Dining Room..................................................2

In other words, I would like to pull the caption 'Photo 1' and just the text of the description field.

If the built-in TOC or Table of Figures can do this, I can't figure it out.

I was wondering if anyone has an idea of how I could use field codes to perhaps do something like this?

Hi Karen

Format the font of text that you don't want to appear in the table of contents as Hidden. Then it will not appear in the table of contents, but you can get it to print if you have the Hidden Text box checked under the Include with Document section of the Print tab under Tools>Options.
