Field mapping problem when linking BCM tables in Access

C

ccameron

When creating a linked table in Access which is linked to Accounts in BCM,
the fields do not map properly. Account is put in First (Name) if it is one
word and in First and Last if it is two words. Sometimes it goes into Title.
(I have no idea why!) The fields used look like Business Contacts fields
rather than Account fields.

When creating a linked table in Access which is linked to Business Contacts
in BCM, the field "Account" is blank. This field does not export from BCM to
Access or to Word in a mail merge. It does not even show up in the table
view of Business Contacts.

I was told by technical support that Microsoft will not fix this design flaw
until enough people complain. I hope there are some others out there who
will agree that this is a problem worth fixing.

Thanks.
