File Upload Problem

I'm including a file upload box on a form that also sends
an e-mail once filed out.

The form will send fine, but when I try to upload a file
it asks for authentication again and eventually fails say
that the page is not accessible. It works fine when I use
my account with administrator privileges, but when I try
a test account with normal privileges everthing works
unless you try to do the file upload.
The upload directory has write privileges for the test
account.

Any Ideas? This is a hot project.
