Files gone... now what?

Okay, this is an ODD problem... hopefully someone can help.
To start with, I have Office XP with Frontpage, and
Publisher 2002. Now, what happened is, I had them
installed on a seperate drive from the boot drive. I
decided to install a Linux distro on one of my other
drives. Unfortuantly, during the installation, i picked
hte one with all the progras on it... not the one i just
emptied.. So, i messed up, and everything was deleted.... I
figured no big deal, I'll reinstall.
So, here is wherehte odd stuff starts. I tried to
uninstall all of it from XP... no good, bhecasue the files
are not there anymore (infact, the drive itself doesn't
come up because it is now Linux). So, I got a registry
cleaner, ran it... Now, whenever I start anything that
accesses the Internet, the Publisher installer starts...
and gives me an error about an invalid cahracter in the
install directory. I run Paltalk and GCN... and as I sign
on to either, it does this multiple times, withe every
window that opens in both programs. No matter what I do, i
can not stop this. and, upon reinstalling office, I can't
do that either, becasue the old install still has some
files (or, more likely, registry keys) hidden that I can
not find. Basically, I need someone that can tell me what
keys to get rid of, so i can remove it completeky and start
over... prefereably without reinstallign wondows and
starting over. Thanks in advance for any help...
