fill effects - textures

is it possible to add to the texture library. I know you can use a graphic
from your hard drive but it does not stay in library if you delete the object
you filled. I have searched online for information and searched the
microsoft office folders but to no avail.

I only wish to know for convenience as it would save much mouse clicking if
it could be done.

I reckon that's true.... and I believe pattern fills have been removed from
the latest version of powerpoint

You could create a hidden "Pallet Slide" with your textures in dummy shapes.
Then even if you delete the one object, the texture would stay in the
library.

thanks for the help, the hidden slide is a great idea as I tend to use the
same fills.
