Fill & Line Colors...on Toolbar...Can't activate ?

I just installed Publisher 2003 and get Line & Fill Color buttons to activate
on my toolbar.

Anybody else having this problem on XP?

These tools will not activate if you don't have an object selected, either a text box
or some other element.
Is your graphics driver up to date?

I am not enrolled in this program, probably should enroll since you need help. I
don't know if Publisher works differently through this program. Maybe it isn't the
complete program as you suggested. Can you send me a sample of a document? I'd like
to see if it looks different. My email is correct except you have to remove "my" to
reply.

I selected [ highlighted ] copy within a copy box last night and that
colorization button for copy did not activate....I'll try selecting an item [
box ] and other items tonight.

I've got XP/Home edition on that computer and the install disk I used last
night for Publisher 2003 is an Action Pack Subscription disk that says
Microsoft for Partners on it. Could it be that the install disk is an MS
Publisher Office Professional version and they're not synking ?

Also, I'm somewhat of a novice and don't know how to check for graphic
drivers being up to date...? Could this be in a download I've not pulled down
from updates yet ?
