fill text box from hyperlink

I have a Windows Sharepoint Services site that has a list of users that I
would like to add a hyperlink to each contact in the list that when clicked
it will open a new window and populate a fill with a pager number. I can get
the new window to open in a non-webpart page but without the pager number
being filled in http://www.ce-usa.info/mssc/a1003.htm. How do I achieve this
in the WSS page?
