filter results

I have a name list which contains duplicate names, my questions are:
1) how to use the filter to find a name list that excludes those duplicates. For example, if A appears twice, only one A will appear in the final result;
2) how to save the results to another worksheet.

Hi Alice,

Data > Filter > Advanced Filter
Select "Copy to another location"
Enter your list range
Enter your "Copy to" location
Check "Unique records only"
Click Ok

You can use an Advanced Filter to extract the list of unique items to a new workbook.

Open a new workbook, then start the Advanced Filter. There are instructions here:
