Filtering data

Louise

HI all

How do I set up an auto-filter so when the data is
filtered, you can still see the column headings at the
top. I have done this before but can't remember how!!
I'm using Office XP.

Thank you.
Louise.

Louise,

Insert an empty ros above your columnheading and select the whole area
(empty row, columnheadings, data) and set autofilter.

(In this way however the columnheading becomes part of your data).

Hi Louise

One way would be to increase the height of the row containing your headings
by right clicking on the row number, and setting height to say 25 and then
format that row with Format=>Cells=Aligment=>Vertical=>Top
