find a conact

I recently switched from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003 which came with a new
XP home machine. After importing my old Outlook.pst file, I have discovered
that the "find a contact" quick search tool doesn't seem to recognize my
contacts folder though the folder is there and accessible through the
contacts window.
How do I connect the "find a contact" tool to my contacts folder?

Importing a PST file is never the correct way to migrate Outlook data. It
will corrupt your settings. Hopefully the only thing disrupted is the
settings for your Outlook Address Book. Remove it. Restart Outlook. Re-add
it and configure it correctly:
