Find and Replace

I am trying to use the "Find" feature to search in a document. I have used
this before and it has been very helpful. For some reason this document is
not allowing me to perform this function. I type in a word to FIND and it
pops up a window that states : WORD has finished searching this document: The
search item was not found.

However, I know the word is in the document. I have tried several different
words that I know are in the document. Tried them in different cases thinking
it was possibly case-sensitive.

Any ideas why it is not working correctly?

Make sure that you don't have any specific formatting applied to the "Find
what" box and that none of the other options in the More section of the
dialog (Use Wildcards, Match Case, Whole Words, etc.) are checked.

Thank you for the response. I actually determined that closing the file and
WORD and re-opening both allowed the feature to work correctly.

That would have cleared all of the settings I referred to, but I guess now
we'll never know.
