One of my coworkers found a fix for those of us in the
group that have been having trouble getting into Outlook
on an Exchange 2000 server. To summarize the problem,
when you double-click the Outlook icon, the computer asks
for your username, password, and domain name. When you
enter the info, the computer says it's wrong, even though
you are logged into the network.
The fix is Microsoft Knowledge Base article 321652, at
this link:

Thanks to all who answered my posts yesterday.
