Fixed unit of work

There will be a task which has to start Dec 10, 2007 and end at January 12,
2007.I need to assign 3 resources and also assign them a fixed unit of work
(10 hr, 10 hr, 15 hr) This unit should change at any point of time when the
time is input and also the end date should not change. Can anyone please tell
me how to acheive this? What type of task this should be and settings..

I'm having a little trouble following your third sentence: "This unit
..... should not change." It seems like there is a "not" missing and what
do you mean by, "... time is input..."?

If I make some assumptions, I'd suggest you make the task type "Fixed
duration" and then assign your 3 resources with the hours desired. Fixed
duration will keep the task time span fixed.

from that task, the work units of the other 2 resources should not change and
also the end date should not change..

For this requirement, i am asking which task type need to be set?

I thought if we set it as 'Fixed Duration' and add 3 resources with 10 units
each, when we remove a resource from this task, will it not affect the work
units of others or change the end date?

Vijay,
The best way is to try it and see. I think you will find that by using a
fixed duration, non-effort driven task, the duration will stay the same
and so will the work content of remaining resources.
