Flexi-Arrows

Is there a flexi-arrow available somewhere that allows users to control
a curve in addition to the controls?

I want to make broad sweeping curved arrows that allow me to control
the curve and arrow shape.

I could construct one by meticulously constructing curved lines but I
want to be able to have a fill color too.

Any suggestions?

What about a really thick line with an arrowhead on it? You can use the
freeform tool to draw your curve.
