Hello,
none of my folders has the summary tab under "properties". How do i add a
comment, then??? (On the other side some .ppt or .pdf have this tab!)

Thanks

Hey Bob,

but why is that so, that some files have this property and others don't.
Some of my .ppt have it, others don't!!!!

What's the solution here. And is there a way yet to add comments to a
folder??????????

found the solution myself to the problem, you have to close the file to see
the summary tab...

Anyway, another problem is that the comment writing space is very limited,
how to expand that??? Though the box for comments under the summary tab isn't
full with text, the folder page doesn't show the whole text, why??

thanks

First, this has nothing to do with MS Office. It is your operating
system that provides these features. To sort of do what you want you
will need to change how your operating system shows you files. You would
need your system to support "Web view" of folders. That feature was
specifically disabled due to the vulnerabilities of automatically
running HTML content on the desktop. If you really insist on doing this,
then you will need to be prepared make some additions to support it and
then you can make the directory be a web page and then add comments. I
don't recommend it, but if you insist start here, at the XP section

http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Customize_folder.htm

and further instructions can be found here

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727004.aspx

any further questions should be posted to the group for your operating
system, presumably Windows XP

....

There's always the option of adding a file named either README or
COMMENTS in the folder and putting folder comments in it.
